Note to Self: Bibliotherapy

I have free time to read now. I was recently upset with someone, but I think it’s better. Not too long ago, I read Norwegian Wood and it.changed.my.life. One of the truths he made was about the piano teacher’s and Toru’s perspectives: 1) I was just her music teacher and I was only responsible for making sure she practiced piano. I wasn’t responsible for any other aspect. I think I forget that occasionally in my friendships, in my mentor-relationships. It’s a good reminder. Ask, “What’s the purpose?” and try not to get too upset. In response to Naoko’s question about living in a dorm, he mentioned something like “as soon as you realize that there will be assholes everywhere, it’s not that bad”. An apt statement indeed. So read up, it might cheer you up and teach a few things.
