note to self (expectations and fulfillment)

There are documented sociological reports where expecting a person XYZ to fail a course makes the individual more likely to fail. Then there are anecdotal and personal stories of expecting really great things (putting people on a pedestal) and the people failing. Instead, what if we try the I self-expectations of doing your favorite things well? This includes not doing things other people expect you to do, but doing whatever you do so well that there is no question and no societal questions (oh that person couldn’t do xyz, or got laid off, or insert excuse) why you are doing xyz. A thought experiment, but really a life experiment. Let’s test it out and see how far/places we go!
