writing well

1. Sufficient Background information
2. Able to verbally describe the x # major claims of argument
3. Able to construct a working outline
4. Writing it out.

NB: can you avoid cognitive shortcuts (symbols) and think about what you’re writing without the literary terms/jargon? ref: alone, LastPsychiatrist on how to draw.

But thinking and outlining precedes good writing. At least for arguments and expository pieces.
