Today I decided that certain things are a non-issue. For example, if things that appeared on my brain’s list of distractions came with a post-it-note, it would have 2 boxes [ ] let’s explore, and [ ] nonissue. In other words, if I want to wonder further why a certain non-issue has any implications, the automatic brain response should be the same exasperated response given by [David] Sedaris’s dentist: “Why don’t trees touch the sky?”
Just humor me a bit, and if you’re stressed, here are some alternate fun pathways: 1) go running, 2) read Sedaris, or 3) study, 4) Quiet time. One or the other should release endorphins.
No more ruminating + stupidity, yes?
