note to self (emotions, etc.)

-good writing: last night, as i was falling asleep, i realized that i wanted to remember a sentence that is lost. It was something along the lines of people are most upset when they are complicit. (+ possibly related to the idea that people never get upset when they don’t win the lottery). I’m going to put words and sentences that I like down, so I don’t have to worry about losing them (see next post)
-fixing things:
-thinking hard and asking questions that relate to previous knowledge:
-why deep thinking conversations can be dangerous: because it may uproot your fundamental questions or assumptions about yourself that attack you identity. (And no one regardless of who they are, what they do, want to be fundamentally criticized.) That’s why you have these conversations later on, and not now. Because you find out that when he/she fundamentally criticized you in such a way (most likely inadvertently), you end up thinking that that person isn’t for you. Rather, later on when you already appreciate them as a person you view this conversations as unique aspects of your individual selves. When you initially talk, you just want to find points of connection and not disconnection.
